Senior Tester - Watford - £32k negotiable plus benefits
Senior Tester urgently required to add quality assurance during application development and maintenance. Our client is constantly improving an already impressive product. The successful candidate will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle, reviewing specifications, designing, reviewing and exercising planned tests, generating specific test data, and reporting and collating test results. She*he will be responsible for a small team of testers. We have recently introduced Rational Robot, setting it up and using it will be a significant part of the job. Must have: Familiarity with the Windows environment including Windows 9x and NT. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, ie Word, Excel and Access. Familiarity with at least one automated testing tool, preferably Rational Robot. A minimum of 5 years experience of planning, designing and scripting tests. Knowledge and experience of bug tracking methods. Knowledge and experience of the benefits of Unit, Integration, System and Regression testing. Experience of following scripted tests in a structured testing environment. Experience of defining and generating test data. Good natural abilities in verbal and numerical reasoning. A methodical and meticulous approach. A team-player mentality with a flexible and practical approach. RDBMS knowledge including Oracle and Access is highly desirable as well as an additional European language. You must live within a 45 minute commute to Watford or be willing to relocate.
